We all love our entertainment. From surround sound to headphones, 4K projection to handheld devices, our homes are hubs of entertainment. Here at Gold Class, we’ve made it everything we do. We continue to source the best brands to ensure every project we’re apart of is at the highest of standards.
Recently, our friends at CE Pro magazine released 2016’s top technology brands when it comes to home entertainment. Many of the brands that we are Toowoomba’s dealers for were up in the mix, so, of course, we were eager to hear the results.
The survey covered everything in home entertainment: indoor and outdoor audio, amplifiers, projectors and TVs, whole-house automation, networking and connectivity, security and more. We were ecstatic (but not surprised) to see brands like Sony, Integra, Sonance, Samsung and Control4 leading the way in multiple areas.
Here’s a brief rundown of a few of the popular areas:
In 2015, Samsung were clear leaders in the TV race. Although Samsung has come out on top again in 2016, Sony has fronted up ready to play with a close second place.
Sony makes up for it in the projector scene. Standing strong with Epson not far away, both remain the status quo for home theatre projection.
Integra are clear favourites in the home theatre preamp world.
Sonos lead the way in soundbars, but we were excited to see Sonance stepping into the top 5 as this is a relatively new category for them.
Clear favourites and certainly well deserved Sonance leading the way again with quality outdoor sound.
Showing that 2015 was no fluke, Control4 not only maintains hold as the most frequently used brand in the Control and Automation category, it increases it’s lead over all other competitors.
Sony: First place in projectors, gaming systems, AV receivers and Blu-ray players. Close second place for TVs.
Integra: Leaders in Preamplifiers and processors.
Sonance: First for outdoor speakers, architectural speakers. Special mention for soundbars.
Samsung: Leading the way in TVs.
Control 4: Taking home first prize for whole-house audio visual, whole-house control and automation, thermostats and AVAC automation and access control systems.
In conclusion, overall brand leaders are Sony, Sonance and Control 4. There are a whole number of categories to check out, and we’re proud to be able to source all of the brands listed. If you have any questions about products, we’re here to help!
